Vigen Memorial Home obituary - Noah E. Gould, 24, Keokuk

Noah Edward “Thinking Bear” Gould, 24, of Keokuk, IA went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA.
He was born August 8, 1999 in Keokuk, IA the son of Clifford and Heather Young Gould.  Noah graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 2018 and had consistently been on the honor roll for seven years. 
|Noah had been employed by several local businesses including First Community Bank, Hoerner YMCA and the Keokuk Public Library.
He was a faithful member of New Beginnings Church in Keokuk.
Noah enjoyed watching movies and television, especially Sponge Bob and Animal Planet, reading comic books and collecting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  He was proud of his Native American Heritage and was a direct descendant of Chief Keokuk. He loved all animals and he was the light of the world.  Noah had an endless love of Jesus.  He had a strong faith that was an active and vital part of his life.  He prayed for his brother Dakota into existence.  Noah really enjoyed comedians and had a special relationship with his friend, Bruce Baum, who is a national known comedian.
He is survived by his mother, Heather Martinez, dad, Claude Martinez, biological father, Clifford Gould, two brothers, Austin Brockett and Dakota Martinez, his grandfather, Alvin “Soaring Eagle” Young, one uncle, Josh “Eagle Claw” Young and many great aunts, great uncles and cousins.  He is also survived by special friends, Mark Slater and Penny Johnson, many “adoptive” family members and his personal Elvis, Junior Talley.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Marilyn Young and Barbara Martinez, great-grandparents and a sister in infancy, Masia Marie Martinez.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at New Beginnings Church in Keokuk with Pastor Donnie Skinner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Keokuk Animal Services, 249 Carbide Lane, Keokuk, IA.
