Regional softball pairings released by IGHSAU

FM, Central Lee travel; HTC gets home game

LEE COUNTY - Fort Madison and Central Lee will be on the road, while Holy Trinity gets a home game, during the high school softball postseason.
Pairings for all five classes were released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union on Friday.
Holy Trinity will play host to New London in a Class 1A Region 8 first-round game at 7 p.m. June 30. The winner of that game plays at No. 8 Sigourney in a quarterfinal on July 5. Regional semifinals are July 7, with the regional championship game on July 10.
Other regional first-round games are Winfield-Mount Union at Wapello, Lone Tree at Highland, Keota at Moravia and Hillcrest Academy at Tri-County. Twin Cedars and English Valleys have byes into the quarterfinals.
Holy Trinity has defeated New London twice this season, winning 13-0 at New London on June 2 and 12-0 at home on Tuesday.
Fort Madison gets the longest trip, playing at Knoxville in a Class 4A Region 6 quarterfinal in a 7 p.m. game on July 6. The winner of that game plays at Burlington on July 8.
Mount Pleasant plays at Keokuk in the other quarterfinal on July 6, with the winner playing at Norwalk on July 8. The semifinal winners play at a site to be determined on July 11.
Central Lee plays at Washington in a Class 3A Region 8 quarterfinal on July 6. The winner of that game plays either Camanche or Davenport Assumption in a semifinal on June 8 at Davenport Assumption.
The other side of the bracket has Columbus playing at West Liberty and Fairfield playing at West Burlington in July 6 quarterfinals. The semifinal will be on July 8 at West Liberty. The two semifinal winners will play July 11 at a site to be determined.
