Mueller, Mohrfeld miss SEI tourney teams

FORT MADISON – Brooke Mueller shot a 108 and Emma Mohrfeld shot a 109 for Holy Trinity at the SEI Superconference tournament at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course Monday night.
Mueller carded a 52 on the front nine and a 56 on the back nine that included a tough 11 on the par-4 No. 12 hole that knocked her out of contention for 2^nd team.
Mohrfeld shot a respectable 50 on the front nine, but suffered a 59 coming back in to move her out of contention for a spot on the All-Conference team.
Central Lee’s Mercedes Kirchner shot a 131 for the Hawks and also struggled on the long 12^th hole with a 12.
Olivia Hines of Mediapolis was medalist with a 78 on the par-72 Fort Madison course. New London’s Taylor Phillips was runner-up medalist with a 79.
