Lady Hounds fall in SEC finale

Mt. Pleasant knocks off Fort Madison girls 3-2

MT. PLEASANT – The Fort Madison girls’ soccer team has dropped back to back matches as the regular season winds down.
The girls fell 3-2 to Mt. Pleasant Monday night to fall to 7-3 in the Southeast Conference and 9-4 overall. The Lady Hounds will finish second in loop play with Burlington the conference champions at 10-0.
The Bloodhounds downed the Panthers 5-2 on April 20th.
Fort Madison has lost two in a row after winning six straight and 9 of the previous ten. The girls wrap up the regular season Thursday with a home match against Davenport North.
Freshman Hadley Wolfe scored her 14th and 15th goals of the year, one in each half for all the scoring for the Lady Hounds. She had five shots on goal in the contest.
Teagan Snaadt had three shots on goal but couldn’t find the back of the net. She had both assists on Wolfe’s scoring attacks.
Taylor Johnson had five saves. Mt. Pleasant scored all three of its goals in the first half.
