Lady Crusaders fall at Mepo 11-1

HTC girls travel to Winfield on Wednesday

MEDIAPOLIS – Holy Trinity Catholic lost its second game this week in a 11-1 defeat at Mediapolis.
Sydney Jarvis took the loss for the Lady Crusaders going three innings surrendering five runs on eight hits, striking out two and walking one.
HTC got hits from Emily Ross, Morgan Krogmeier, Jarvis, Izzy Behne and Elizabeth Griffin. Krogmeier had the lone RBI for Holy Trinity (2-2).
Payton Harris got the win for the Bulldogs scattering just five hits and one run while fanning three and walking three.
The Crusaders trailed just 2-1 after the end of two innings, but Mediapolis put up three runs in the third and five in the fifth to invoke the 10-run mercy rule after after five innings to end the game. Ellie Hellman came on in the fourth inning surrendering six runs, four earned on five hits while striking out two and walking three.
Holy Trinity travels to Winfield-Mt. Union on Wednesday to take on the Lady Wolves.
