Donna Millicent Avelino, 57, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 12:55 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.  She was born on July 2, 1966, in Freeport, IL, to Claude & Millicent Nork Klenke. She married Maria Victoria Avelino on October 26, 2013, at VanderVeer Botanical Park in Davenport, IA. She worked in Human Resources at Scott’s Miracle-Gro Corporation in Fort Madison, IA.  She enjoyed cooking and traveling to flea markets and antique stores.

Donna is survived by: her wife: Victoria Avelino of Fort Madison, IA; 2-step sons: Christian (Isilene) Cruz of Louisiana, MO & Jonathan (Hermila) Cruz of Perry, MO; 1-step daughter: Paola Roxana (Guillermo) Cruz of Mexico City, Mexico; 1-sister: Doris Klenke of Champaign, IL; 2-brothers: Clifford (Karen) Klenke of Gratiot, WI, & Clayton (Cynthia) Klenke of Springfield, IL; 1-sister in law: Beatriz (Leticia) Avelino of Toronto, Canada; 2-nephews: Matthew & Joshua Klenke of Springfield, IL; & 1-niece: Grace Klenke of Springfield, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and no services are planned.
