Johnson earns varsity letter at Central

2022 Bloodhound graduate plays in freshman year

PELLA - 2022 Fort Madison High School graduate and Bloodhound Tate Johnson was honored for his contributions to the Central College football team this past fall at the squad’s recent awards banquet.

The nation’s fourth-winningest college football program since 1975, Central finished 7-3 this past fall. The Dutch have not had a losing season since 1960, winning a record 32 conference championships and making 22 NCAA Division III playoff appearances.

Johnson appeared in two varsity games this year with one reception.  He was a member of the Class 4A All-State team as a Bloodhound in 2022.

He is the son of Tony and Tara Johnson of Fort Madison.
