Fuller, Eschman lead boys to 3rd at SEISC meet

WAYLAND – The Central Lee boys captured 3^rd place in the Southeast Iowa Superconference’s South division at the conference meet Friday at WACO.
The Hawk’s Brody Fuller heaved a personal best 39-8.25” in the shot put to get his first first-place finish of the year. Tom Eschman leaped 21-3.5” to capture the crown in the long jump at the meet. Fuller also took second with a personal best discus throw of 120-6.5” to wrap up 18 points for the Hawks.
The boys finished with 92 points just five behind runner-up Van Buren. Mediapolis won the south division with 169 points.
The girls were led by Kamryn Cox’ 2^nd place finish in the 400-hurdles, a personal best, and the 4x200-meter relay team of Kodi Moeller, Cox, MaKayla Howard, and Karlie Pohren at 1:58.13. The girls compiled 35 points to take 5^th place overall.
