Fort Madison boys 3rd at Brookhart-Crew Relays

Girls 5th behind Kemper, Rump efforts

FAIRFIELD – The Fort Madison Bloodhound boys' and girls' track and field teams competed in the Brookhard-Crew Relays in Fairfield Monday night.

The boys finished 3rd with 96.5 points behind Washington and Mt. Pleasant, who both tied for first with 137 points. The girls finished 5th with 61 points behind Mt. Pleasant, Washington, Fairfield, and Davis County.

The boys' distance medley team of Nick Fullenkamp, Kiawante Smith, Peyton Lambert, and Nolan Guzman raced to a first-place time of 3:55.19 to spark the Hounds. Cade Packard got another title in the 400-meter run with a 53.36.

The vaunted 4x100 relay of Adam Sobczak, Dayton Lamar, Tate Settles, and Julian Dear garnered another title with a 44.75.

The Lady Hounds were led Hailey Kemper who won her second straight 400 hurdles with a time of 1:11.05. Avery Rump won the 3000-meters with a 11:07.53. She took 2nd in the 1500 meters at 5:08.74.

The girls' distance medley team of Lillian Gelsthorpe, Dayonna Davis, Caralena Crooks, and Mara Smith took 2nd with a time of 4:53.75.

100 meters: Girls – Emma Berry 14.58. Boys – Julian Dear 11.37 (4th), Kane Williams 11.79.
200 meters: Girls – Dayonna Davis 29.45 (5th), Laci Gathers 38.85. Boys – Nick Fullenkamp 24.09 (3rd), Williams 24.92 (5th).
400 meters: Girls – Olivia Buckner 1:12.43, Emma Kern 1:19.38. Boys – Cade Packard 53.36 (1st)
800 meters: Girls – Ellie Huebner 2:51.77 (4th). Boys – Nolan Guzman 2:12.70, Peyton Lambert 2:13.08.
1500 meters: Girls – Avery Rump 5:08.74 (2nd).
1600 meters: Boys – Mason McLey 5:02.94 (5th), Cameron Shutwell 5:29.03.
3000 meters: Girls – Avery Rump 11:07.53 (1st).
3200 meters: Girls – no entry.
100-hurdles: Girls – Caralena Crooks – 18.85, Maleena Bentley 22.18.
110-hurdles: Boys – Henry Wiseman 15.62 (2nd), Chandler Fullenkamp 18.21.
