Lisa Jones, 69 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House, Burlington, Iowa. She was born September 14, 1955 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a daughter of Gordon C. and Helen (Naney) McMillan. On November 18, 1980, she married Curtis Jones at Danville, Iowa.
She was a 1973 graduate of Fort Madison High School. She and Curtis owned and operated C & L Express. She was the president, as well as handled the paperwork and accounting. More than anything, Lisa enjoyed being a stay-at-home-mom raising her kids. Their home was always a buzz with her kids as well as the neighborhood kids. She was a member of the former First United Methodist Church in Fort Madison.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Curtis Jones of Fort Madison, Iowa; three children: Heather (Brian) Harris of Fort Madison; Joshua Beelman of Keokuk, Iowa and Nathan (Amanda) Jones of Clarksville, Tennessee; two sisters: Donna McMillan (Carrie Blazek) of Shady Side, Maryland and Kathy (Griff) Macy of Norfolk, Virginia; four grandchildren: Chance Decker, Braydon Beelman, Langston Beelman and Bella Beelman; mother-in-law: Irene Hoskins of Denmark, Iowa; and her beloved dog, Samantha “Sam”. She was preceded in death by her parents.
