Anna Maria Cassone, 87, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2024 at her son’s home in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri.
Anna was born April 9, 1937 in Campo Calabro, Calibria, Italy, the daughter of Luigi and Maria (Delfino) Cassone. She married Roger H. Sutton. They later divorced. 
Anna was raised in Italy and moved to Africa during the World War II. Upon returning to Italy she met her future husband, Roger, at Camp Darby in Italy. She immigrated to the United States in the late 1950s and lived most of her life in the Dallas City area. 
She enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with friends and family. 
Survivors include five children: Jerry Sutton of Lewistown, Missouri, Suzanne Sutton of Montrose, Colorado, Gregory Sutton of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, Edward Sutton of Wentzville, Missouri and Phillip Sutton of Dallas City; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters: Lidia Terry of Spokane, Washington and Tita Cassone and San Francisco, California. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Francisco an Diego Cassone. 
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. 
The funeral service for Anna will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Banks & Beals with Fr. Tony Trosley officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Cemetery, Dallas City.
