Vigen Memorial Home obituary - Lynn M. Hardy, 64, Keokuk

 Lynn Marie Hardy, 64, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, June 16, 2024 at her home. 
She was born on May, 25, 1960 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of William J. and Helen Menke Calhoun. 
Lynn graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1978. 
She was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Hardy in 2001.  He preceded her in death on June 10, 2007.
Lynn was a dedicated employee of Roquette America for over 40 years until her retirement.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. 
Lynn and Jerry enjoyed talking about good times with friends at the end of their day. She enjoyed extensively researching genealogy and tracing her family history back several generations.  She had a love for animals.  She also enjoyed traveling. 
She was a fantastic care giver for her husband and her parents.  She went to the nursing home every night to check on her father to make sure he had the best of care.  Lynn was the best daughter, sister and wife.  She was also a special aunt to her many nieces and nephews.  
She is survived by her brother, Dan Calhoun (Colleen) of Poplar Grove, IL and a sister, Kathy Jobe (Leonard) of Sandusky, IA as well as her many nieces and nephews. 
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Calhoun (Carol).
A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.  Burial will be held in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Saints Parrish.
