King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - John O. Moles, 68, Fort Madison

John O. Moles, 68, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 4:58 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  He was born on February 9, 1956 in Limestone, ME to Clyde O. & Alice E. Lord Moles, Jr.  He married Renee J. Haines on August 2, 1975 in Kansas City, MO.  He retired from Cryotech in Fort Madison as a mechanical engineer and was a member of Madison Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.  He was a member of Gideon’s International and a football official for many years.  His first love was God, followed by his love and devotion to his family.  He was a humble servant to all.  He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs and all things Iowa Hawkeyes.
John is survived by: his wife: Renee Moles of Fort Madison, IA; 2-daughters: Kimberly (Josh) Patterson of Kansas City, MO & Lisa (Patrick) Lamb of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: Jason (Bethany Nannen) Moles of Burlington, IA & Karson Anderson of Fort Madison, IA; 10-grandchildren: Preston, Kennedy, Carson, Gavin, Vivian, A.J., Madeline, Allison, Nolan & Natalie; 7-great grandchildren; 1-sister: Karen (Barry) Morton of Lee’s Summit, MO & 1-brother: Tony (Snow) Moles of Gulf Breeze, FL.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. 
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Madison Baptist Church.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Madison Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Gnann officiating.  Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
