Keokuk man arrested on meth charges

Arrest stems from trafficking investigation

LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk man on Felony drug charges.

Shelby Kobra Kelly age 28 of Keokuk was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in the 300 block of North Park Drive on charges of: Possession of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a class B Felony, and Drug tax stamp violation, a class D Felony.

The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force where the defendant, Shelby Kelly, had been trafficking methamphetamine in the Keokuk area.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force was assisted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Keokuk Police Department, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.  The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
