Fort Madison Police Report
02/23/23 – 9:48 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident at the intersection of 13th Street and Avenue H.
02/23/23 – 11:20 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 400 block of Avenue D.
02/23/23 – 4:06 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested John Charles Arthur, 58, of Fort Madison, in the 600 block of Avenue F, on a warrant for pretrial release violation. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
02/24/23 – 1:06 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Aneika Shatterah Forrest, 25, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 18th Street and Avenue M, on a charge of driving under suspension.
02/24/23 – 2:19 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Joshua Edwin James Hartman, 37, of Fort Madison, in the 1400 block of 21st Street, on a warrant for failure to appear - 1st offense possession. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
02/24/23 – 11:43 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Kyle Louis Hensley, 31, of Fort Madison, in the 1400 block of Avenue B, on a charge of 1st degree harassment. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
02/25/23 – 2:21 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1100 block of 48th Street.
02/26/23 – 12:47 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Cameron Joel Rudd, 32, of Fort Madison, in the 4800 block of Avenue O, on a charge of child endangerment. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released.
02/26/23 – 9:28 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Anthony Leroy Bernard, 33, of Donnellson, at the intersection of 40th Street and Avenue L, on a charge of driving while barred.

Lee County Sheriff Report
02/23/23 – Lee County sheriff deputies had no activity to report.
02/24/23 – 11:43 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Hwy. 27 N. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Christopher Daniel Johnson, 45, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling on Hwy. 27 when the driver lost control due to weather conditions and struck the bridge barrier. No injuries or citations were reported. The vehicle sustained approx. $1,500 in damage  and was towed from the scene.
02/25/23 – 2:03 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Hwy. 61 S. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Ryan Preston Zetterlund, 26, of Keokuk, was traveling south on Hwy. 61 when it struck the Bluff Road overpass barrier. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained approx. $1,500 in damages and had to be towed from the scene. Zetterlund was arrested for OWI.
02/25/23 – 3:35 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Ryan Preston Zetterlund, 26, of Keokuk, in the 2300 block of Hwy. 61, Fort Madison, on charges of 1st offense OWI and failure to maintain control. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on his own recognizance.
02/25/23 – 5:33 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Johnson St. Rd. and Valley Rd. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Sidney Wayne Salter, 77, of Keokuk, was traveling south on Valley Road, approaching Johnson St. Rd. when it left the roadway, entered the ditch, and landed on its top. No injuries or citations were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
02/25/23 – 7:27 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Kelsie Alexis Miller, 29, of Montrose, in the 3100 block of 223rd Avenue, Keokuk, on a charge of public intoxication. She was taken to Lee County Jail and later released after paying a fine.
02/25/23 – 8:00 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Justin Reed Miller, 31, of Montrose, in the 3100 block of 223rd Avenue, Keokuk, on a charge of public intoxication. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released after paying a fine.
02/26/23 – 3:39 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested John Eugene Land, Jr., 41, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on his own recognizance.
02/26/23 – 7:35 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Domenique Garcia, 40, of Fort Madison, on charges of public intoxication, interference with official acts, assault law officer/others - no injuries, and disorderly conduct - loud noise. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
02/26/23 – 7:35 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Chanel Nicolette Hardeman, of Fort Madison, in the 600 block of Reve Court, on charges of interference with official acts, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct - loud noise. She was taken to Lee County Jail.

02/24/23 - Fort Madison firefighters responded to two medical calls and one carbon monoxide alarm.
02/25/23 - Fort Madison firefighters responded to one medical call, one garage fire, and one lift assist.
02/26/23 - Fort Madison firefighters responded to one medical call.
