Multiple felony charges, weapons recovered as a result of warrant

LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Fort Madison man on Felony and Misdemeanor drug charges.

Buck Aaron Bruner, age 36, of Fort Madison. is charged with: Manufacturing psilocybin mushrooms within 1000 feet certain properties while in possession of a firearm, a class C Felony, Possession with intent to deliver psilocybin mushrooms within 1000 feet of certain properties while in possession of a firearm, a class C Felony, Manufacturing marijuana within 1000 feet of certain properties while in possession of a firearm, a class D Felony, Drug tax stamp violation (2 counts), both are class D Felonies, Maintaining a drug house, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, Possession of methamphetamine, a Serious Misdemeanor, and Possession of drug paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.

The arrest came after the Fort Madison Police Department executed a search warrant at Bruner’s residence on an unrelated matter.  While inside the residence, officers discovered a psilocybin mushroom and marijuana grow operation.  Several stolen firearms were also recovered during this time.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force was assisted by the Fort Madison Police Department, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office.

The defendants in this case are presumed innocent until proven guilty.  The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
