Catfish Bend helps Victory Park Pickleball court funding

Donation helps get project surpass funding needs

FORT MADISON - The highly anticipated Victory Park Pickleball Courts project aimed at enhancing recreational opportunities for residents and visitors of Fort Madison, Iowa is a step closer to reality today. The project, with an estimated cost of approximately $300,000, has received substantial support from local organizations and generous citizens, including Catfish Bend Casino, a division of Great River Entertainment, that recently pledged $20,000 to help push the Project forward.
In collaboration with local partners and organizations, the Fort Madison Pickleball Association is transforming dilapidated tennis courts into six state-of-the-art pickleball courts, meeting the growing demand for this popular sport.  The addition of new pickleball courts will provide ample opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels to participate in this exciting activity, fostering community engagement, health, and well-being.
The Association is grateful for the community's enthusiastic response and commitment to enhancing recreational infrastructure in Fort Madison. Through this joint effort, Victory Park will be transformed into a hub for pickleball enthusiasts, creating a vibrant space for sportsmanship, camaraderie, sports tourism, and outdoor leisure activities.
The final phase of work on the new pickleball courts is underway, with completion expected by early Summer 2023. The Association extends its sincere gratitude to all the sponsors, donors, and community members who have come together to support this initiative.  The group is still fundraising to raise the funds needed to complete the Project but is optimistic that it’s goals will be attained.
