Odd Couple - Female version to hit stage in June.

FORT MADISON - Old Fort Players is thrilled to bring the classic comedy “The Odd Couple, Female Version” to the stage June 2-4 & 9-11. This is the comic genius of the late Neil Simon at his best. One liners zing between the actors amid a heart-breakingly honest story of friendship and love. If you don’t recognize at least a few of these characters among your friends, you need to get more friends!
Olive Madison, the successful television producer, is played by Tierra Griffith. This is Tierra's first Play with OFP and she is enjoying her time onstage as the wisecracking Olive who is also a total slob when it comes to housekeeping.
OFP Board Member, Jennifer Pranger has been cast as Florence Unger, the fastidious and soon-to-be divorced friend of Olive. This is her second time performing onstage.  Her character who has just left her husband, needs a place to stay. Where better place to crash than in the apartment of her best friend - who is also her complete opposite in almost every way. I mean, what could go wrong?
Rounding out the cast is an assortment of characters of various and hilarious types. Sylvie, played by OFP veteran, Richar Abel, is trying to quit smoking and not succeeding.
Cathleen James, most recently in “Four Old Broads” has taken on the role of Mickey, who is a total control freak.
The role of Renee, their blunt and outspoken friend, is portrayed by RaCayla Adams. This is RaCayla’s first production with Old Fort Players. The ditzy Vera, played by Alicia Rodriguez, is responsible for much of the play’s humor. Alicia has a strong passion for acting and singing. She’s been wanting to be an actor since she was 10 years old!
Brothers Manolo (OFP Vice President and Set Designer, Ty Clute) and Jesus Costazuela (played by another OFP veteran, Michael Reed Randolph, “Four Old Broads”) are the handsome brothers who live next door and show up just in time to stir things up.
Directing the production is long-time Board Member Angela Sanford (“Drinking Habits 1 & 2”).
“The Odd Couple, Female Version” is produced by Special Arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Performances are scheduled to run June 2-4 & 9-11, 2023. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Adult Tickets $15, Senior & Military $12, and Students $10.
