Senior wrapping up career with No. 4 Crusaders this year

FORT MADISON - Holy Trinity senior Mary Kate Bendlage has committed to play volleyball at Mount Mercy University beginning next season.
Bendlage announced her commitment on social media Monday night.
Bendlage, an outside hitter, has 54 kills and 69 digs this season. She is a 96.6 percent server for the Crusaders, who are ranked No. 4 in Class 1A heading into Tuesday’s home match against Notre Dame.
Bendlage was a Class 1A first-team All-State selection last season after helping lead the Crusaders to the state tournament. She led the Crusaders with 379 kills and 388 digs.
